Job Description for IE Manager

• Making styles production friendly at the sampling stage
• Making OB (Operation Bulletin) and SAM (Standard Allowed Minutes) for every style
• Giving costings for prospective orders based on factory cost per minute and garment SAM
• Calculating daily floor level efficiency and profitability
• Monitoring daily MMR (Man Machine Ratio)
• Monitoring factory cost per minute and making sure it stays within budgeted cost per minute
• Calculating thread and lace averages. Ensuring that thread and lace consumption at factory is within budgeted averages.
• Deciding how much manpower to deploy at factory based on work load in coordination with factory manager and PPC
• Skill matrix for tailors
• Overseeing time study for styles on production floors
• Conduct meetings with line supervisors before line setting for layout and targets
• Arranging folders / machine parts etc
• Repair and maintenance of cutting and stitching machinery
• Open rates for fabricators and piece rated tailors
